I'm an internationally-syndicated travel writer and freelance journalist with a decade of experience working online and almost double that working for national newspapers and magazines both in the UK and also overseas.

Over the years I've worked as a writer, editor, online content producer and radio broadcaster. I write about travel for a wide range of media including the Sunday Times Travel Magazine, The Sun, The Metro, British Airways High Life, AIr Canada En Route, Yahoo!, MSN, National Geographic Traveller, the global travel publishers Rough Guides and other outlets from around the world.

My specialities include Canada, France – specifically Paris and the Loire – spas, food and drink.

I like to write about what happens when you slip off alone; the people that you meet and the stories you discover.

Recent trips have included: Whitehorse, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Vancouver, Monte Carlo, Paris, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco and The Gulf Islands all on commission for national newspapers, magazines or online outlets.

I also take on copywriting commissions for travel companies, PR agencies and other corporate clients.

I blog about life in Canada for Hello! at The Maple Life
